What is Tectyl and how does it work?
Tectyl is a clear spray that forms a protective barrier against corrosive elements and stops metal from rusting. Applied to the inside, back and front of your gas geyser, it helps your geyser last longer in salty coastal air.
Which gas geysers need coastal corrosion protection?
Homes and businesses on the coast, up to one kilometre inland, are most exposed to corrosion from salt spray, especially in windy areas. We recommend Tectyl treatment for geysers in these areas. A Dewhot weather box cover adds an extra layer of protection and is your first line of defence against rust.

How to order a Tectyl-coated gas geyser
Ask your Dewhot dealer to add Tectyl treatment when you order your geyser. It’s available for a small fee. Please allow an extra 24 hours before collection or delivery, as each geyser is opened and sprayed thoroughly inside, at the back and at the front.
